Cantamessa Family, Running the Winery Since 1870
The Azienda Vitivinicola Cantamessa started in 1870 and has been owned since then by the Cantamessa family. Currently, the winery is run by Cantamessa Aldo, along with his wife Giuliana and son Luca. The main aim of the company is to produce high-quality fruity grapes and combine traditional methods with modern technology to make genuine, unique wines with love and passion. The customers love their wines that reflect the pride and quality of the terroir and local traditions. The quality of the products is because of the family’s ever-present hunger for improvement.
Mission to Produce High-quality Wines
Ever since the company started, the main commitment and target of the entire staff were to grow high-quality grapes for the production of the best wines in the region. When Luca joined the business, he took significant steps to protect the environment and the beautiful hills of the area. In 2017, the entire estate from the vineyards to the cellar was certified organic, and from the 2020 vintage, all the wines made by Cantamessa are certified organic. Chardonnay, Barbera, and Moscato Bianco are grown here and used to make red, white, sparkling, and dessert wines.
Wines Rightly Reflect the True Spirit of the Terroir
For good wines, it is important to take the right steps in the vineyards and obtain the best grapes. Some of their best ones include Barbera d’Asti DOCG, Piemonte Chardonnay DOC, and Moscato d’Asti DOCG. The company’s flagship wines rightly reflect the true spirit of the terroir and local grape varietals. Each of their wines are unique and express different personalities and aromas to the customers. The winery is respected because of the high-quality of their eco-friendly organic wines.
