A Building of History

Volpe Pasini Winery is housed in a historic manor dating back to 1596. This estate spans 20,000 square meters and features a centuries-old park alongside a small vineyard dedicated to Ribolla Gialla, a testament to the winery's rich winemaking heritage. The earliest records of wine production on this estate date back to the 18th century. The stone walls, lush gardens, and aromatic plant areas reflect a deep respect for historical architecture and the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The Vineyards

Spanning over 52 hectares, the vineyards of Volpe Pasini are located on the picturesque hills of Togliano and Prepotto, within the renowned Colli Orientali del Friuli region. The unique combination of soil, subsoil, topography, and microclimate in this area contributes to the distinct character of each vine. In the cellars, traditional winemaking techniques blend seamlessly with modern technology, resulting in exceptional wines that showcase the unique qualities of the grapes. The Zanolli vineyard, surrounding the historic Villa Rosa, covers 15 hectares and produces some of the freshest and most vibrant grapes. This vineyard exemplifies the harmonious relationship between nature and human craftsmanship, enhancing the landscape around the villa. Other notable vineyards, such as Zuc di Volpe and the vineyard of Prepotto, also contribute to the winery's impressive portfolio, each offering a stunning visual experience.

Most of the negative reviews clearly refer to a restaurant in Rome, about 700 kilometers away. I wonder how it is possible to confuse a company that produces (good) Friulian wines and offers accommodation in an 18th century villa in the Friulian countryside with a place that offers Lazio cuisine four to five regions away. I understand that most are foreign tourists, but do they actually still have such a confused idea about the country after visiting it that they don't notice the mistake?
