A Legacy of Quality Wines Crafted by Three Generations
Weinbau Gross Winery: In the Heart of Beautiful Pfalz
Pfalz, located in southwestern Germany, is a picturesque region known for its stunning vineyards, charming orchards, and quaint villages. As the second largest wine region in Germany, Pfalz boasts ideal conditions for viticulture, characterized by warm summers and mild winters. The diverse soil composition, including sandstone, limestone, marl, loess-loam, and granite, contributes to the unique flavors of the wines produced here. Among the many esteemed wineries in this region is Weinbau Gross.
Continuing the Tradition
Weinbau Gross is a family-owned estate with a rich history spanning over five generations. It all began with Margarethe (“Greta”), the great-grandmother, who transformed the estate from the remnants of World War II into a thriving winery. The dedication and expertise she instilled have been passed down through the generations, and today, the winery is proudly managed by the fifth generation of the family.
Spanning 30 hectares, the vineyards at Weinbau Gross produce a carefully selected yield that has been bottled in-house since 2007. The winemaking process involves the expertise of three generations, ensuring that each bottle reflects their commitment to quality. The estate cultivates a variety of grapes, producing red, white, rosé, and dessert wines, all handpicked to maintain the highest standards.
