The Hareter Winery

The family vineyards are located on the gentle hills around the tranquil village of Weiden am See. Thanks to the mild Pannonian climate, which gives warm, temperate summers with many hours of sunshine, but also enough rainfall to allow the grapes to ripen perfectly, making it possible to create high-quality premium wines. The goal for the owners, Dieter and Yvonne, is to continuously improve the quality in order to press the best wines of the region in the vineyard and cellar. The values ​​of closeness to nature, tradition, and sustainability are paramount. Thus it is possible for them to press balanced white wines and red wines typical of character, which reflect the peculiarities of the Burgenland terroir, climate, and joie de vivre.

The family has set itself the goal of running the winery as close to nature as possible. This means that all decisions and measures that affect the vineyards are methodically designed in such a way that they have a gentle and supportive effect and do not disturb the vineyard ecosystem in the long term. The knowledge that has been accumulated over generations contains a real treasure trove of information.
