A Family-Run Winery in Rheinhessen, Germany, Crafting Exceptional Wines
A True Family Business
Lisa and Bastian Bunn discovered their love for wine while pursuing their studies. Bastian honed his winemaking skills through hands-on experience, while Lisa earned her degree in International Wine Business from Geisenheim. After graduation, they dedicated themselves to transforming the Winery of Margarethenhof into the renowned Wine Estate Lisa Bunn. With years of dedication, they have significantly enhanced the quality of their wines. Lisa’s father, George Bunn, and his wife, Eva, manage customer relations, allowing Lisa and Bastian to concentrate on producing exceptional wines. Their 10 hectares of vineyards in Nierstein are steeped in family history.
Exceptional Riesling and Burgundy
At Weingut Lisa Bunn, the focus is on crafting outstanding Riesling and Burgundy wines, gradually replacing older grape varieties like Bacchus. The winery employs traditional viticultural methods, including hand-picking grapes, extended maceration, spontaneous fermentation, and prolonged yeast storage. The use of wooden barrels is essential in creating their exquisite white Burgundy.
A Memorable Tasting Experience
Situated on the picturesque slopes of red slate by the River Rhine, the winery offers stunning views of its vineyards. Visitors can see a variety of grapes, including Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. These grapes are meticulously transformed into a range of wines, including red, white, sparkling, and rosé.
Weingut Lisa Bunn has garnered a loyal following of visitors who return time and again, along with numerous prestigious awards that showcase their commitment to quality winemaking.
