A real family business

While studying their advanced levels, Lisa and her husband discovered their passion for wine. Bastian focused on the practical side of business practicing winemaking skills while Lisa studied International Wine Business in Geisenheim before gaining any practical experiences. Post-graduation, both Lisa and Bastian focused on the Winery of Margarethenhof which is today known as the Wine Estate Lisa Bunn. With years of work and review, quality and production have greatly improved. Lisa’s father George Bunn along with his wife Eva manage the customer service while Bastian and Lisa focus on the production of top-class wines. These 10 hectares of vineyard at Nierstein hold a special family history.

Taste some excellent Riesling and Burgundy

The primary focus of the winery is mainly Riesling and Burgundy and has started to replace older grape varieties like Bacchus. Original viticultural practices are used in this winery i.e. to hand-picking, lengthy maceration periods, spontaneous fermentation and more extended yeast storage. Wooden barrels play a significant role in making white Burgundy.

Do not miss a tasting at the charming winery

In this winery, the wines are handcrafted from the steep slopes with red slate. Located at the River Rhine, the winery has a direct view of the vineyards. One can see grape varietals like Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvi in the vineyard. These grapes are then handcrafted into wine varieties like the red, white, sparkling and rose wines.
