Weingut Obermoser is nestled in the stunning region of Alto Adige – Südtirol, surrounded by the breathtaking Dolomite Alps. The winery is a proud legacy of the Rottensteiner family, with roots in viticulture dating back to 1890, when Thomas's great-great-grandfather first planted vines. Today, Thomas, Heinrich, Margareth, and Christian Rottensteiner continue this tradition, crafting exceptional wines through artisanal winemaking techniques. The vineyards are located in the renowned St. Magdalena Classico wine district, just northeast of Bolzano.

Traditional Methods with Native Grape Varieties

Spanning 4 hectares, the vineyards at Weingut Obermoser utilize traditional Pergola and Guyot systems across three sites in the St. Magdalener Classico area and one in the Kalterer See Classico area. The steep slopes and diverse soil profiles contribute to the cultivation of native grape varieties such as Vernatsch (Schiava), Lagrein, and Sauvignon Blanc. Each year, approximately 32,000 bottles are produced, with the wines aged carefully in oak barrels to enhance their character.
