Sanders and Sanders Winery, Young Family Winery with a Large Range of Wines
Sanders and Sanders Winery was established by Mark Sanders and his parents, Lu and Ingrid Sanders, in 2012 and is still a relatively young company. Their main aim is to produce unique and high-quality wines from the Mosel Valley region’s steep-sloped vineyards.
Sanders and Sanders Winery is a partner of Culinaire Saisonnier, their wines are present in over 100 fine-dining restaurants throughout Europe.
Family Vineyards
Sanders and Sanders Winery takes great pride in preserving their family vineyards and only using homegrown grapes to make unique wines. By combining traditional methods with modern and innovative techniques, they create exciting wines reflective of the region. The winery cultivates Riesling, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon, and Regent.
Other Offerings and the Story of the Winery
Apart from the wines, Sanders and Sanders Winery also has their own trademark companies, S.Herry ®, RotImPort®, and WeißImPort®.
Sanders and Sander’s liqueur wines are made similarly to Spanish and Portuguese fortified wines. What makes them unique are the local grape varieties used in the production. In 2014, the winery found a new home in the Klausen Monastery, which used to be a hostel for the Augustinian monastery. Mark runs the winery with his wife, Steffi Willers-Sanders. After finishing their degree in viticulture at Geisenheim University in 2015, they have been fully committed to the winery.
