Affentaler Winery – A Legacy of Quality Since 1908

Nestled in the picturesque Black Forest region, Affentaler Winery has been a cornerstone of Baden's wine culture since its establishment in 1908. This unique winery, known for its distinctive monkey-patterned bottles, is a collective of 24 dedicated winemakers who share a passion for crafting exceptional wines. Each year, new members join this cooperative, contributing their expertise and commitment to the art of winemaking.

At Affentaler Winery, select grape varieties are handpicked to ensure the highest quality in every bottle.

Adapting Through the Years

Affentaler Winery has evolved significantly over the years, collaborating with various wine associations to enhance its offerings. In 1981, the winery constructed a state-of-the-art facility to meet the growing demand for premium wines. This included a modern wine cellar and a new barrel cellar, allowing the winery to maintain the highest standards of quality. In 2015, the cooperative rebranded itself as Affentaler Winzer, reflecting its rich heritage and commitment to excellence.

With a focus on quality, Affentaler Winery cultivates renowned grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc. These grapes are carefully harvested to produce a range of exceptional wines, including red, white, sparkling, rosé, and dessert wines, all representative of Baden's finest winegrowing regions.

Good cellar even for an Italian! Pinot noir as if it had been produced under the Alps, sparkling wines especially the drier versions very pleasant, whites up to par, the only flaw is a slightly light gewurtstraminer compared to that of the other side of the Rhine. Staff always friendly and helpful

Just great. Went there as part of country fun and experienced a wine tasting that was second to none. We were then allowed to take a “private” tour of the cellar which was extremely informative, especially the cellar with all the wine from 1946 onwards. We will definitely come by again. Thanks

Plenty of parking spaces. Great atmosphere inside. Very well laid out. Large selection. If you're vaccinated, it's no problem to try wine. Saleswomen don't hassle you. Very friendly and give you time no matter how long you need. Tried 2 wines. They certainly wouldn't have said anything if I had tried more. Despite the fact that I only bought 2 bottles of wine, they were very friendly right up to the end. Lots of wines and sparkling wine to choose from.
