The Winery

Founded in 1986, Araico Winery is rooted in the rich traditions of viticulture and winemaking that have been passed down through generations. Our commitment to crafting high-quality wines reflects the essence of the Rioja region.

Vineyard and Family Heritage

Our vineyards are characterized by smallholdings where various grape varieties, both red and white, grow side by side. This unique approach allows us to create distinctive “village wines” that capture the local terroir.

We tend to our vineyards with care throughout the seasons, ensuring that each grape reaches its full potential. Our winemaking process honors ancient traditions, including the practice of carbonic maceration, where grapes are gently crushed to enhance their natural flavors.

The result is a collection of fruity wines, featuring notes of red fruits, cinnamon, and licorice. These wines are flavorful and approachable, making them perfect for any occasion. Whether you are a seasoned wine enthusiast or a casual drinker, Araico Winery offers a taste of Rioja that is sure to please.

We did a wine tasting with Miguel and we really enjoyed it. He explained everything to us very well, we were able to see and understand the entire wine-making process and we tasted three very good wines. Without a doubt, a highly recommended experience in a family-owned winery where you can see that they like what they do. We will be back!

We really enjoyed the experience and would repeat it without hesitation. They were very friendly and enthusiastic about teaching us what they do. The tasting was very good and the idea of doing it with cheese and chocolate was great. I recommend it 100%.

Great Rioja Alavesa winery, tradition and respect for the environment, good hard-working people in love with the wines that come out of their damaged hands from working hard. Thank you for showing us your house, don't doubt that we will see each other again. Thank you very much 😘

A very entertaining visit to a family winery where we had the opportunity to taste different wines and beers, different from those we are used to. Despite being in the middle of the harvest and all the work that came with it, they treated us wonderfully and gave us tips on where to eat nearby. There were four of us and we loved the experience, which I can recommend without a doubt.
