Experience the Rich Heritage of Rioja's Arizcuren Winery
A Passionate Winemaker
Arizcuren Winery is nestled in the stunning Yerga Mountain Range of Spain's Rioja region. Founded by Javier Arizcuren, who hails from a long lineage of wine growers, the winery reflects his deep-rooted passion for viticulture. After earning his degree in viticulture, Javier traveled to renowned wine regions around the globe, honing his skills and crafting unique blends.
In 2011, Javier took the reins of the family estate, dedicating himself to producing the exceptional Arizcuren Wines we cherish today.
Preserving Rioja's Wine Heritage
At Arizcuren, the mission is to honor the rich history of La Rioja Baja and safeguard the winemaking traditions of Spanish ancestors. The estate's vineyards feature only the finest vines, aged between 30 and 120 years, cultivated using the traditional Goblet system. With optimal soil, altitude, and orientation, these vineyards thrive under strictly organic practices, free from pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers.
Exceptional Garnachas Await
The harvest season varies each year, determined by the perfect balance of fruitiness and acidity in the grapes. Each grape is handpicked and carefully transported in plastic boxes to maintain its quality. The winery produces two standout wines: Solo Mazuelo and Solo Garnacha. The Solo Mazuelo showcases a vibrant purple-red hue with aromas of red and black berries, while the Solo Garnacha is a full-bodied, straw-colored wine with refreshing acidity.
