Azienda Fausta Mansio: A Scenic Winery in Sicily

Azienda Fausta Mansio is a charming family-owned winery nestled in the picturesque Anapo Valley of Sicily. This stunning region, known for its hilly terrain and rich biodiversity, provides ideal conditions for vine cultivation. Since planting its first vineyards in 1999, the winery has expanded to nearly ten hectares of vines and four hectares of olive trees. Committed to sustainable farming practices, the team handpicks the finest grapes, ensuring that both the vines and the surrounding environment are well cared for.

The Legacy of Siracusa's Moscato

The winery aims to revive the ancient tradition of producing Moscato di Siracusa, a wine that gained D.O.C. status in 1973. Unfortunately, many local farmers transitioned to citrus orchards during an economic downturn, risking the loss of this historic wine. In response, Azienda Fausta Mansio planted Moscato grapes to preserve this vital aspect of their heritage. The vineyard also cultivates Nero d’Avola, allowing for the production of high-quality red, white, and dessert wines.

Key offerings from Azienda Fausta Mansio include Moscato Dry, Moscato di Siracusa, and Moscato Passito, along with premium extra virgin olive oil.

Would 100% recommend to anyone who gets a chance. A lovely family owned farm where the owner handles every single bottle of 25,000 they produce on an annual basis. It’s an amazing experience with his wife making lovely dishes that compliment the wine. The finest organic wine, olive oil and naturally sourced products. Olaf is an expert in his home produce and we look forward to taking his wine back to London with us

This was a spectacular winery experience! We had a tasting of 5 wines with food pairings including their olive oil, all of which was delicious. Olaf and Paola were incredibly knowledgeable and hospitable, even offering us a tour of their wine cellar, and we had a lovely wander around the property to enjoy the vineyards and sunset. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

Visit a winery that certainly deserves a more in-depth visit due to the quality of its wines. Special thanks go to the owners, who welcomed me for a spontaneous meeting despite their busy schedules.

Good place to visit. The hosts were friendly and shared their estate history and their wine making process as well as details of the wines. The atmosphere was splendid, and close proximity to Syracusa makes this place attractive to visit for a quick taste or more comprehensive wine tour with top-notch pairings you can imagine. We only had 5 courses, but we might visit again for the rest of the wines. We were extremely happy and wish the best for the family. Oh, and the views. Amazing. The sunset drops your jaw. Hint, if you are afraid of dogs, it's worth mentioning when making reservation as the dogs are running free although they are very friendly.

We had our wine tasting back in February and are still thrilled to this day! The atmosphere was wonderful, the wine was great and the food was a delight! Highly recommended! Thank you again for arranging this tasting especially for the three of us (in the off-season)! ☺️

There’s a reason they only get 5 stars reviews. What a lovely day out. Olaf was very knowledgeable. We paid 35€ for 5 amazing wines made with love & hardwork with incredible food pairings that were well thought out. Also our 4 year old son had a brilliant time running around the olive trees and jumping on the trampoline. Very kid friendly. Can highly recommend for wine and food lovers. Great winery experience just outside of Syracuse. We called one day in advance to make a booking.
