Located in the picturesque South Styria region, Weingut Tauss is a charming winery nestled in Schlossberg, near Leutschach an der Weinstrasse. Spanning six hectares, the vineyards are set on three cauldrons with a south and southwest orientation, at an altitude of 450 to 500 meters above sea level. This stunning location offers a perfect blend of nature and biodynamic wines, complemented by delicious local cuisine. Guests can enjoy activities such as hiking and yoga sessions led by professional instructors.

Exceptional Grapes from Unique Terroir

At Weingut Tauss, traditional craftsmanship meets biodynamic and organic viticulture. The vineyard, named Hohenegg after a nearby chapel, benefits from a unique microclimate and calcareous sandy soil rich in minerals. This ideal environment nurtures high-quality grapes, which reflect the essence of the land. The vineyards are home to a variety of grapes, including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufränkisch, and Pinot Gris, used to produce biodynamic red, white, rosé, sparkling, and orange wines.
