In earlier times, the monastery of Vorau owned the farm and land using it as a winery. Now, the owner of Herrenhof Lamprecht manages the vineyards in accordance with organic certification guidelines. The soil, climate, rainfall, and temperature in the region are perfect for the cultivation of top quality vines. The vineyards at Herrenhof Lamprecht have been called Buchertberg since a long time ago. The names of their wines are also Buchertberg Rot and Buchertberg Weiss. These are blended wines that use forgotten and old varieties of local grapes. The winemaker combines traditional methods with modern and innovative techniques to produce the best wines. Apart from the wines, the winery of Herrenhof Lamprecht also makes Buchertberg Verjus in its manor house. This beverage has an intense citrus and acidic tone, it is excelllent for adding to certain dishes with its intense taste.
