The story of Bioweinhof Widerna starts with Alexander, the master of the house, who laid the foundation of the farm in 1990 right after completing the viticulture school. In the village of Dietmannsdorf, in the Retzer Land, the then 16-year-old farmer began farming his own vineyards and pastures. Today, Alexander together with his wife Elisabeth and their boys Johannes, Florian, and Lorenz on board are an integral part of the farm who bring distinct skills to the table.

The Organic Fram That Reflect’s the Nature’s Goodness

Bioweinhof Widerna is characterized by its naturalness and down-to-earthiness. The resource-saving manufacture of their products reflects this way of living. As the foundation of healthy plant life is the soil's natural strengthening and balancing, it must be treated with the highest care and respect. The vines are kept alive and well by a lot of hard labor. Pesticides made of chemicals have no place in their soil and only use biological pesticides to prevent disease transmission. On this farm, the family creates the most natural goods possible, which mirror the plant's original habitat and gives enjoyable nutritious goods. The winery produces a diverse selection of wines. They craft white wines from Grüner Veltliner to Neuburger and Traminer, whereas St. Laurent and Blauer Portugieser are used for the red wines. BioWeinhof's organic farming also encourages the expression of the numerous soil typicities found there since it is the foundation for the wine style.
