Hebenstreit Winery Expresses Hardwork, Innovation & the Courage to Try New things
Nestled in the stunning landscape of the Retz wine region, Weingut Hebenstreit is a family-owned winery located in Kleinriedenthal, Austria. The company has bagged numerous awards for its top-class Grüner Veltliner wines, the flagship grape of Hebenstreit. The vineyards are situated on the southern slopes of Schatzberg, producing fresh, spicy red, white, and sparkling wines.
Inspiring Story of the Hebenstreit Family
Owned and operated by the third generation of the Hebenstreit family, the winemaking tradition was started by Manfred Hebenstreit’s grandfather. The aromatic grapes in the vineyards and wines in the cellar have always fascinated Manfred. Later in 1999, he took over the family winery after attending Federal College for wine and fruit growing. Today, all the family members work together to produce top-class red, white, rose, and sparkling wines. From vinification to bottling, from marketing and sales, everything is done under Manfred’s supervision.
