The Inspiring Heritage of the Hebenstreit Family

Weingut Hebenstreit is proudly run by the third generation of the Hebenstreit family. The winemaking tradition began with Manfred Hebenstreit’s grandfather, who instilled a passion for viticulture in the family. After completing his studies at the Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing, Manfred took over the winery in 1999. Today, the entire family collaborates in every aspect of winemaking, from vinification to bottling, ensuring the highest quality in their red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines.

Seventeen Hectares of Diverse Grapes

The winery spans 17 hectares, with 70% dedicated to white grapes and 30% to red. The vineyards on Schatzberg Mountain are home to a diverse range of grape varieties, including Riesling, Chardonnay, Weissburgunder, Welschriesling, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir. Guests are invited to enjoy wine tasting experiences in the winery's well-equipped dining room, where they can savor the unique flavors of Hebenstreit wines.

We came across the winery through “Look at the Country”. We are thrilled from start to finish. We were lovingly welcomed. We were able to enjoy a tour and a wine tasting. You can tell what kind of love goes into the products. The cyclist rest with chilled wines and comfortable seating is also worth a detour. Of course we took wine with us and will come back or order online in advance. Thanks again for everything!
