Welcome to Bodega Salentein: A Multifaceted Winery

Nestled in the stunning Uco Valley, Bodega Salentein is a gem in the Mendoza region of Argentina. This winery is renowned for its striking architecture and an impressive private art collection featuring both Dutch and Argentinian masterpieces. Salentein is committed to crafting exceptional wines that capture the unique characteristics of the local soil and microclimate.

Exceptional Wines from Salentein Winery

At Salentein, a diverse range of grapes flourish in the Uco Valley, including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc, alongside premium Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot. The winery prioritizes sustainable practices, with all grapes hand-harvested to ensure only the finest selections are used in winemaking. Salentein is recognized for producing high-quality red, white, and rosé wines, as well as exquisite sparkling and dessert wines, all under the Uco Valley designation.

The Wine Cellar and Winemaking Philosophy

The state-of-the-art wine cellar at Salentein is located nine meters underground, providing an ideal environment for fermentation and aging. The facility features a barrel room filled with 225-liter French oak barrels, carefully arranged to enhance the wine's complexity. The flooring, made from natural stones sourced from the Cuyo Region, not only adds aesthetic appeal but also helps regulate temperature for optimal maturation.

Comfortable Accommodations at Salentein

Salentein Winery offers top-notch accommodations at Posada Salentein, where guests can enjoy a relaxing stay. The winery also features two family-run restaurants, Killka Restaurant and Posada Restaurant, serving delicious lunch and dinner options that highlight local flavors.

It was a wonderful experience. We had a 9-course "experience" and it was fantastic. The food was on point and the wines served were perfect. There was also a very nice view and a lovely atmosphere. Our waiter Nicolas was very friendly and accompanied us professionally through the courses. We would be happy to go again, it was fantastic!

A stunning property and winery - touring through the facility and learning its history and wine making process was interesting and the wine tasting was lovely. The Andes Mountains provide a picturesque backdrop for the vines making the experience even more memorable. A must visit when visiting Mendoza.

We went for a guided tour at noon and had lunch with the 6-course menu and matching pairing. The winery is beautiful and the architecture is really impressive, especially the cellar. There is an art gallery and at the entrance there is also a chapel that you can visit. The food is very tasty and the attention is a ten. They gave us a discount on the value of the menu because we were Argentinian.

We took a guided tour with a tasting led by Owen, who explained the history of the winery and the process of harvesting, fermentation and aging or maturing the wines. It is worth taking the tour and tasting the wines. I would like to highlight Owen's kindness, explanation and friendliness.

Salentein Winery is a must on your visit to the Uco Valley. Its impressive architecture is an art gallery and has a mystique that no other winery has. Its wines are perfect. We recommend choosing the luxury experience where you can taste its best labels.

The best winery we visited! Javier was in charge of the tour and tasting and it was the best explanation of the trip. The winery is beautiful, very big and has well designed modern spaces. There is also a gallery called Kilka with artwork, a very well curated place. Safety pin
