Dominating the beauty of the Uco Valley, Bodega Salentein is located in the heart of Mendoza, surrounded by family-owned vineyards. Salentein is one of the very first wineries in Argentina with sophisticated architecture and a unique private art collection with Dutch and Argentinian paintings. Today, the winery focuses on the production of top-quality wines, reflecting the essence of the soil and microclimate from which they come from.

With their entire cultivation in the Uco Valley, Salentein grows a large variety of grapes including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc, paired with top-class Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Merlot. The utmost care and respect for nature are considered in all decision-making at Salentian. All grapes are harvested manually to preselect the best bunches for high-quality winemaking. Salentein Winery is a recognized Argentinian wine producer creating red, white, and rosé wines, together with high-end sparkling and dessert wines, under the denomination of the Uco Valley.
Wine cellar and philosophy of winemaking
The modern cellar of Salentein stands nine meters underground and exhibits an adequate temperature for fermentation and ageing of the wines. The property consists of a barrel room, where 225-litre French oak barrels, are beautifully lined up for wine ageing with desired oak complexity. The flooring of the facility has been done using natural stones of the Cuyo Region, the yellow quartzite sandstone, the green chlorite of schist variety, and the red limonite sandstone, which adds beauty as well as temperature control conditions for effective maturation.
