Bodega Alpamanta: A Biodynamic Winery

Bodega Alpamanta, a leader in organic and biodynamic winemaking in Mendoza, Argentina, has seamlessly integrated its architecture with its winemaking process since its inception in 2005. The name "Alpamanta" means "love for the land" in the local indigenous language, reflecting the winery's commitment to sustainable practices. As one of the few organic and biodynamic-certified wineries in Argentina, Alpamanta focuses on maintaining the natural balance of the ecosystem, resulting in healthy vines, abundant yields, and wines rich in aromatic complexity.

Vineyard Ownership and Philosophy

Located in Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo, Alpamanta combines traditional winemaking with modern techniques. The logo features a lechuza (owl), symbolizing wisdom and protection. Founded by three European friends—André Razumovsky and André Hoffman from Austria, and Jérémie Delecourt from France—Alpamanta embodies a shared passion for winemaking. Their focus on environmental respect is evident in every aspect of their operations, with over 15 years dedicated to nurturing the land and vineyard. As André Razumovsky states, “It's the culmination of what we've been doing for over 15 years.”

Biodynamic Practices: A Commitment to Nature

Alpamanta adheres to biodynamic principles, which represent only 0.1% of viticulture in Argentina and 1% globally. This approach, rooted in ancient wisdom, promotes responsible cultivation that benefits the soil, plants, animals, and people. Bodega Alpamanta's dedication to these principles, along with innovative winemaking techniques, allows them to produce exceptional wines while fostering a harmonious relationship with nature.

Camila welcomed us to the winery and we were lucky to have her as a guide, introducing us to the world of biodynamic wine, the winery and the work philosophy of her team. In addition to the architectural beauty of the winery, its impressive landscapes and great wines, we were captivated by Camila's passion for the project. An unforgettable experience that I would repeat again.

Alpamanta was one of our favorite wine experiences in Argentina. They produce high quality biodynamic wines. To make it even better. The tasting room is absolutely gorgeous. I wish we could buy their wines in the United States. If you have the opportunity definitely add this place to your wine tour. Can’t wait to come back and drink more pet Nat and snag a bottle of the vermouth when it is ready. Cheers!!

We visited the winery and were guided by Camila. The winery is beautiful and the wines have very different concepts than we are used to, organic and biodynamic wines. I definitely recommend it and would come back 😁✨️
