Certified Environment-Friendly Winery

Bodegas Beronia is committed to sustainability in every aspect of its winemaking process. The winery prioritizes eco-friendly practices by using recycled materials and investing in renewable energy sources. Its innovative underground structure harnesses natural thermal inertia and gravity, enhancing energy efficiency during production. This architectural marvel in La Rioja reflects Beronia's dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable wine production.

Beautifully Situated in Rioja

Located in the renowned Rioja Alta subregion, Bodegas Beronia is surrounded by a rich winemaking heritage that spans over 2000 years. This picturesque area, near the River Ebro and the foothills of the Cantabrian mountains, is ideal for cultivating high-quality grapes. In addition to its Rioja vineyards, Beronia also has a presence in the Rueda region, where it produces award-winning Verdejo wines.

Terroir of Beronia

The unique climate of Rioja, characterized by warm Mediterranean days and cool nights, allows grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. This gradual maturation contributes to the complexity and structure of Beronia's wines. The vineyard soils, rich in limestone, clay, and gravel, retain essential moisture, supporting the growth of exceptional grapes.

The most sustainable winery in Europe, with a spectacular design to make the most of the renewable energy available. Yaiza explained every corner to us in detail, a visit to repeat. As for the wines they make, I only recommend you try them and let them evaluate for yourself. Take advantage of the time outside when it's nice, sit for a while and enjoy the view with a good wine. Some have stuck in my memory as "vinazos". We'll be back!

A wonderful place. It is a very interesting visit and afterwards you can have a drink either inside in the wine bar or outside in the garden.

Highly recommended visit. They recently built a completely new winery with great technological advances in wine production. They also left a really nice place to drink and walk around. From what we understood they are now starting to get esoteric, it's worth it.
