The Boutique Bressia Winery

Bressia Winery is a charming boutique establishment located in the heart of Mendoza's Lujan de Cuyo region. This family-owned winery is named after its founders, the Bressia family. Walter Bressia, the visionary winemaker, collaborates closely with his family members—Marita, Walter Junior, Alvaro, Antonella, and Matías Dellacasa—to uphold the rich traditions of winemaking. Each wine produced here tells a story, reflecting Walter's passion and dedication. At Bressia, the focus is on quality over quantity, ensuring that every bottle is a true representation of their craft.

Minimal Intervention and Advanced Techniques

Bressia Winery is committed to producing limited batches of high-quality wines and grappa. Each bottle is crafted with care, allowing the unique characteristics of each vintage to shine through. The winery employs a philosophy of minimal human intervention, preserving the natural essence of the grapes. This approach is complemented by state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring that the wines maintain their integrity. The winery primarily uses Chenin and Malbec grapes to create a diverse range of red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines.

Ageing in French Oak Barrels

At Bressia, only the finest grapes are selected for vinification. The winery utilizes both French and American oak barrels to enhance the flavor profile of their wines. Ageing occurs in a subterranean cellar, located nearly six feet underground, housing around 500 oak barrels. This unique environment contributes to the development of complex flavors. Additionally, the winery produces Grappa, a nod to their Italian heritage, showcasing their commitment to traditional winemaking practices.

We were at Bressia Wines again at the end of June with a group from AABB Santo Ângelo where we had the opportunity to visit the winery's new space: the Estación del Alma restaurant. As always, the service was excellent, the wines were excellent, and the grill was good. We highly recommend visiting Bressia Wines when you are in Mendoza, it is worth it! Thank you Eliana for all the attention and care you gave to our group.

Very good experience, motivating, excellent visit to the winery, guided by Eli. Menu by Gonzalo, with typical products from each area of Mendoza, accompanied by quality wines that harmonize with it. All this with the warmth of the hosts Walter and Marita.

Fantastic picnic and mini tour of the winery. Our guide was really knowledgable and helpful, giving us a quick tour of the building and explaining the history and production of the wine. Then we were taken to a cute picnic setting, where lots of great food arrived meanwhile we were offered a bottle of wine to drink with it. Highly recommend the picnic and would certainly go back if in Mendoza again.
