Founded by two friends, Umberto Benedetti and Daniele Grigi, this winery blends modern innovation with the rich history of Umbrian winemaking. Vineyards and Sustainable Practices

Utilizing sustainable and innovative techniques, Cantina Benedetti & Grigi focuses on producing high-quality wines. The vinification process respects the integrity of the grapes, ensuring that each bottle reflects the unique terroir of the region. Their vineyards, located just a few kilometers from Montefalco, primarily cultivate the renowned Sagrantino grape, along with Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino, and Chardonnay. The winery produces a diverse range of wines, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling varieties, with many classified as DOCG, DOC, and IGT.

Part of the Montefalco Consortium

Since 1981, Cantina Benedetti & Grigi has been a proud member of the Montefalco Consortium, which unites local wine producers to promote the region's exceptional wines. With 231 members, including 59 wineries, the consortium represents over 80% of the certified production of Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG and Montefalco DOC. Being part of this esteemed group allows Cantina Benedetti & Grigi to showcase some of the finest wines in Umbria.

We visited the cellar and tasted two wines accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheese. We had a great time and the visit was very interesting. We hope to return soon.

My husband and I visited the winery on August 10th, obviously the tasting of their wines with a platter could not be missed! And nothing disappointed us! Fall in love with 73 Macerato which we highly recommend to everyone! Belinda was very nice and welcoming, we will definitely return to this winery during a next trip to Umbria.

We were welcomed by Belinda, a delightful person, who accompanied us to visit the cellar and explained the different stages of wine preparation. We tasted an excellent Sagrantino they produce. With the wine we tasted the cold cuts platter (raw ham and salami) and the pecorino cheese. We couldn't help but purchase some excellent wine 🍷 really good! It was a really nice experience!

Had a lovely informative tour with Belinda followed by tasting some fine wines some of which were complimented by the meat and cheese provided. Highly quality wines at competitive prices

We enjoyed the infotour and the winetasting with Belinda. Several wines with cheese, Bread and prosciute were served. She has given us also a lot of info of the Région.
