A Magical Stay Among the Rows of Vines
Overlooking the lush vineyards of Sant’Enea, the Chiorri Winery is located in the gentle hills of Perugia, in a stunning countryside leading to wine and food itinerary – Strada dei Vini del Cantico. The winery is the best place to admire the Umbrian countryside, witness the winery team working in the vineyards, collecting berries in small baskets, and more.
Chiorri Winery: A Hundred-Year-Old Unshaken History
Founded in the late 19th century by Antonio Chiorri, Chiorri represents the dedication and determination of five generations of winemakers and vine-growers. It expresses a beautiful blend of ancient winemaking traditions of 1890 and state-of-the-art technology. Following the footsteps of their forefathers, the latest generation has well-preserved a century-old authenticity of their ancestors.
Systematic Work Ethics at the Vineyards and Cellar
Practicing sustainable viticulture, Chiorri grows a broad line of grapes in its inherited vineyards. For white wines, the estate cultivates native and international varieties, such as Grechetto, Malvasia, and Pinot Grigio. At the same time, for reds, top-quality Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sagrantino are planted with respect to the biodiversity. Amid the farms of Sant’Enea, there exists a wine cellar where the winery team uses steel barrels, concrete tanks, a barrique cellar, and oak barrels to store DOC Colli Perugini, DOP Colli, and IGP Umbria wines.
Rooms Bearing the Names of the Company’s Wines
The Chiorri Winery has four suites, well-equipped and furnished with kitchens, TVs, Wi-Fi, bathtubs, and more, namely Antonio Chiorri, Saliato, Titus & Franca, and Vero Amore. In total, there are six double rooms, each resourced with shower and panoramic windows, enjoying a 360-degree view of the vineyards.
