Pomario Winery

We were here for a tasting of a vegetarian dish, before being given a tour of the interior of the winery. You drink and eat very well. The structure is surrounded by vegetation, truly suggestive. A magical experience made even more pleasant by the presence of Cristina who accompanied us on this trip!

We had a wonderful tour and tasting at Pomario yesterday. We loved especially the wines Arale, Sariano and the Muffato delle Streghe. And very good options for vegan antipasti. Very nice taste in the interiors as well :-).

We chose Pomario for a family event (just over 30 people in June 2024) and we immediately perceived, from the first contacts, a warmth, kindness and attention that were fully confirmed in the realization of our celebration!!! The structure is really magnificent, it is expertly accompanied by excellent food and wine, all combined with the great professionalism of the staff! The aperitif in the barrel cellar was EXCELLENT, the express mozzarella and the stracchino were delicious! The room was perfect and the guys impeccable... we ate like at home without unnecessary waits between one course and another, attentive to the service first to the ladies and then to the gentlemen, available at the time of the celebration to prepare. on top of the sugared almonds. Congratulations to Chef Luca because everything was delicious and thank you for the advice in choosing the menu!!! We had such a good time that they rebooked for a family lunch at the beginning of August!!! And everything was perfect again, we also really appreciated the visit to the winery with Valerio who explained everything in great detail but in a way that was equally simple even for non-experts but for curious admirers. Your staff has once again been super friendly and helpful! Special thanks to Chef Luca for the surprise semifreddo, it was really delicious and was the "icing on the cake"! And last but not least… Thank you Federica for your patience and attention to detail no matter the size of the event, but with total respect for the customer, we really appreciate it!!!

During my time at Pomario Winery, I was impressed by the effort Cristina puts into her job. Her knowledge of the wines and the region added a special touch to the wine tasting experience. The generous portions of delicious food served at the winery paired perfectly with the extensive selection of wines offered during the degustation. The combination of flavorful dishes and ample wine samples made the visit truly delightful. I was shocked to see how much food was served to us and the amount of wine poured into every glass, everything was of high standard. Cristina's warm and welcoming demeanor, coupled with her expertise in wine, enhanced the overall atmosphere of the winery. The attention to detail in both service and presentation, along with the abundance of wine provided, made the tasting experience both educational and enjoyable. Pomario winery, with Cristina at the helm, is a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts looking for a memorable and enriching experience.

We went today with other friends to a friend's hen party. Lovely place surrounded by the greenery of the Umbrian hills. New structure, very well maintained. We had a cooking lesson with the hotel chef, it was great fun! We cooked tiramisu and tagliatelle which we then had for lunch. Very friendly and prepared staff. Exceptional lunch: appetizer, tagliatelle with meat sauce, excellent meat with potatoes and our tiramisu. All accompanied by the wines made by the winery. Great tip!

A great experience my family and i enjoyed! Our guide of the vineyard Stefanía was amazing! She entertained us with enthusiastic energy and portrayed a great passion for the winery! The chef was very accommodating for any food allergies and made amazing pizza for us! Overall, highly recommend this place for an amazing experience to be enjoyed with friends and family.

The Pomario winery was an absolute highlight of our vacation and comes with a clear recommendation. The lovely Stefania accompanied the tour and the tasting. Our expectations were exceeded both in terms of taste and virtually. The wine tasted excellent and we really enjoyed getting an insight into the history and production of the wine at the winery! We were very grateful for Stefania's hospitality and can only say thank you once again!

Absolutely fantastico!!! We had the best tour and experience here with Stephanie who was so knowledgeable and passionate. Loved the information of the roses at the end of each vine. We loved it so much, easily the best wines we had in our month of travelling Italy. Wish we could buy the wines back home in Australia. A fantastic and beautiful winery.

Visit to the winery in Umbria with colleagues. Beautiful territory; surrounded by hectares of woods in a magical place between Orvieto and Città della Pieve. Structure entirely followed and built with respect for the environment and nature. Produces quality wine and oil respecting natural balances. Visit to the vineyard and tasting in the barrel room with Stefania, very knowledgeable and friendly who illustrated and described the philosophy of the company. Lunch on the terrace with homemade dishes made with love and local products. Thanks super recommended

This was our wine tasting experience in the Umbria area. Located near the town of Monteleone D'Orvieto, this winery is small but super dedicated and meticulous in its craft. We loved the atmosphere, the expertise and friendliness of the staff and the quality of the wines, with the white wine "Arale" being a highlight that we want to give, given its unique and controversial composition and structure, unlike most whites you might imagine. The tasting experience was impeccable, marking a very pleasant afternoon in the middle of the nature of Umbria. We highly recommend it and we are fans of Pomario wines! Visit it! 🤌

We had the chance to visit this vineyard and taste their wines. Cristina gave us a nice presentation, taking care to explain its origin and history. We discovered excellent wines there, including the Muffato delle Streghe. If you are passing through the area, do not hesitate to stop there. It is really worth the detour!

Great, very well-kept winery with organic wines that taste fantastic. Sustainability and organic winemaking are really lived here with heart and soul. We had booked a wine tasting with bread, ham and cheese tasting and a sightseeing tour. Stefania accompanied the tasting and the tour and made it a real holiday highlight. She is there with heart and soul. We were totally thrilled and can 100% recommend the tasting. Thank you Stefania for the event.

Fantastic wine tasting. We started the tour with a walk through the vineyards, where they gave us important information about the place, the family, the cultivation and the organic systems. We continued with a visit to all the processing spaces and the barrel room, and then reached the terrace where the actual tasting took place. Stefania was fantastic and welcoming in explaining each wine, with its various characteristics and peculiarities. She was also really kind and helpful throughout the tour. Just to be picky, I would suggest a dish with local products a little more abundant, but for the quality nothing to say, everything exceptional and typical. Congratulations for everything!

Tasting and lunch were fantastic, we did get the tour from Stefania.. this was THE cherry on the cake. The passion the drive when telling about the winery was addictive. The story behind the winery is more then interesting and you need to find out yourself.. the wines are good and organic tasteful.. the drive up to Pomario is stunning the place itself is a hidden gem.

We arrived a little earlier than expected but were very well received! For the presentation of the wines, Stefania was wonderful: very good comments, generous, expressive, excellent pronunciation (in English, because our Italian is not very good (…). And, after a few tastings, we preferred the wines of Umbria to those of the neighboring region (better known…) which overshadows them (haha).

While traveling in Umbria, we were inspired by the authenticity and genuineness of the people here and ended up at Pomario on a recommendation and were more than impressed by this wonderful place: In an oasis of peace, with a view of the surrounding forests and hills, biodynamic winemaking is practiced at Pomario with great humility and care. People like Stefania welcome you and infect you with their passion for what is produced here. An honest and wonderful menu with ingredients a kilometer zero - and an unforgettable evening.

The tour was really great and worthwhile. Stefania's passion for wine, organic farming and regional quality products shines through her eyes. We spent well over 2 hours in the well-maintained and obviously lovingly managed area. We booked the middle option, Traditional Tasting, for €22 per person and were very satisfied.

Highly recommended! The tour through the vineyards and the subsequent wine tasting, including a three-course meal, are the best things we've experienced in this region. You can tell how much passion goes into this winery and you're immediately captivated. Everyone is very accommodating and always strives to ensure the satisfaction of their visitors.
