Cantina Ligios, established in 2003, is a family-run winery located on the picturesque north coast of Sardinia, just 600 meters from the sea. Nestled in the historic Anglona region, between the charming village of Castelsardo and the majestic Gallura mountains, our estate thrives in a fertile area enriched by a unique blend of volcanic and sedimentary soils, shaped by ancient geological processes.
Exceptional Wines from a Unique Microclimate
The Ligios estate benefits from a distinctive microclimate that rarely sees winter frosts and enjoys refreshing sea breezes during the summer months. With the coastline less than a kilometer away, the proximity to the sea enhances the quality of our grapes, imparting a subtle savory note from the mistral winds that lightly coat the fruit with salt. Our estate spans approximately 15 hectares, including 4.5 hectares of vineyards and 3 hectares of newly planted olive groves.
Traditional Varietals for Authentic Flavors
At Cantina Ligios, we focus on traditional Sardinian grape varieties, such as Cannonau and Vermentino, while also cultivating international favorites like Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. In our cellar, we honor tradition with extended grape maceration for our red wines, utilizing modern temperature control systems powered by solar energy. Each wine is carefully filtered to ensure purity and quality, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
