San Michel winery: high quality wines reflecting the terroir
The San Michel winery was established in 2013 in Sardinia. There were four partners at the time who decided to join each other to make and enhance the Vermentino di Gallura DOCG wines. They wanted to make a high-quality wine that reflects the character of the grapes and the terroir of the region. These wines are made by carefully using the Vermentino grape that gives life to the wines and is free from any contamination or alchemy.
A careful production guarantees high-quality wines
The vineyards are spread across thirteen hectares that are located near Berchidda in Gallura. The aim is to keep the yield low and of high quality. The soil has granite rocks, which, along with the microclimate, is perfect for the cultivation of vines. The harvesting takes place manually, and the grapes are pressed around five hours after cutting. The vinification at the winery involves fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature followed by the ageing of wines for 7-8 months on the lees.
All these techniques ensure that the natural characteristics of the grapes are preserved, and the wines get a fruity, balanced taste
Experience the characteristics of white Vermentino
The Vermentino is the main grape that is grown in the vineyards here and used to make the Vermentino di Gallura DOCG white wine. The three labels of the wine include the Envy, Symphony, and Superb. Not only these wines are high quality and good to drink, but they also represent the traditions and terroir of the region entirely. The winery is open for guests and wine enthusiasts to visit and have a nice experience here.
