Founded in 2013, San Michele Winery is located in the picturesque region of Sardinia. Four passionate partners came together with a shared vision to produce and enhance Vermentino di Gallura DOCG wines. Their goal is to create high-quality wines that truly express the unique character of the grapes and the surrounding terroir. The winery focuses on the Vermentino grape, ensuring that the wines are pure and free from any unwanted influences.
The vineyards span thirteen hectares near Berchidda in Gallura, where the emphasis is on low yields and high-quality grapes. The granite-rich soil, combined with the region's favorable microclimate, provides ideal conditions for vine cultivation. Grapes are harvested by hand, and pressing occurs within five hours of picking. The vinification process includes fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by 7-8 months of aging on the lees. These careful techniques help preserve the natural characteristics of the grapes, resulting in wines with a fruity and balanced profile.
Vermentino is the star grape at San Michele Winery, producing the renowned Vermentino di Gallura DOCG white wine. The winery offers three distinct labels: Envy, Symphony, and Superb. Searched and found. Despite all the beautiful vermentino and good wineries, we think we have found THE pearl. We drove up the path unannounced with our camper and received an incredibly warm welcome. Tonino very generously offered to taste all his wines. An hour later we said goodbye with a hug, each other's email address in our pockets and a trunk full of delicious wine.

We stumbled upon it by chance following a road sign. It was September 10th. Tonino welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. We chatted while tasting the consortium's wines. Excellent. A wonderful experience! Thank you
