The winery that gave the unique Ruché grape a reputation

A Unique and Exclusive Grape

Cantine Sant’Agata’s history started over a century ago, with the founder, Giuseppe Cavallero, helping priests of a nearby village to Scurzolengo, in the beautiful Piemonte region. The priests were known of growing the unique and exquisite Ruché grape, and Guiseppe learnt how the grape’s cultivation process works by helping the priests. Thanks to that, the Ruché grape has become the signature of Cantina Sant’Agata.

Traditions and High Quality is Still Alive

Today, Cantina Sant’Agata has been passed on to Guiseppe’s sons, Claudio and Franco. But they have made sure to keep the original spirit of the winery, which means that the quality is handled with the same care as in the beginning of the winery’s history. Except for the unique Ruché grape, they also produce the exclusive regional grapes Barbera and Nebbiolo. Altogether, they have a rich variety of luxurious, primarily red wines, but also rosé, white, and fortified wines, to offer.

Not Only Wine

Today, the Cavallero brothers do not only cultivate for the sake of wine, but they also produce botanicals directly for Vermouth, Gin and Amaro. Therefore, a visit to Sant’Agata means a whole journey for the senses, that gives the opportunity to a borad discovery. “
