Home of the Renowned Ruché Grape in Piedmont
A Unique and Exclusive Grape
The story of Cantine Sant'Agata began over a century ago, with its founder, Giuseppe Cavallero, helping the priests of a village near Scurzolengo, in the beautiful Piedmont region. The priests were known for growing the unique and exquisite Ruché grape, and Giuseppe learned how the grape cultivation process worked by helping the priests. Thanks to this, the Ruché grape became Cantina Sant'Agata's signature. Traditions and high quality are still alive and well. Today, Cantina Sant'Agata has been passed on to Giuseppe's sons, Claudio and Franco. However, they have ensured that the company's original spirit is maintained, which means that quality is managed with the same care as it was at the beginning of the company's history. In addition to the unique Ruché grape, the exclusive regional Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes are also produced. Overall, they offer a rich variety of fine wines, primarily reds, but also rosés, whites, and fortified wines.
Not just wine
Today, the Cavallero brothers don't just grow for wine, they also produce botanicals directly for vermouth, gin, and amaro. A visit to Sant'Agata is therefore a journey of the senses, offering the opportunity for great discovery.
