Chateau Bianca Winery: A Family Legacy in Oregon

Chateau Bianca Winery, perched on Butler Hill in the heart of the Willamette Valley, is a family-owned gem established in 1990. With a commitment to crafting small-batch wines of exceptional quality, winemaker Andreas Wetzel honors the traditions of his great-grandfather while incorporating modern techniques. With over thirty-five years of experience in Oregon winemaking, Wetzel has led Chateau Bianca to earn numerous prestigious awards, reflecting their dedication to excellence.

Innovative Vineyard Practices

At Chateau Bianca, a vertical canopy trellising system is employed to enhance grape quality. This method improves air circulation, leaf management, and shoot positioning, resulting in healthier grapes that contribute to the complexity of their wines. The Willamette Valley's unique climate can pose challenges for grape cultivation, but this innovative approach helps produce some of the finest Pinot Noirs globally. The winery cultivates a variety of grapes, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer, and Riesling, which are used to create a diverse range of red, white, sparkling, rosé, dessert, and fortified wines.

Chateau Bianca Winery proudly holds a Low Impact Viticulture and Enology (LIVE) Certification, highlighting their commitment to organic and sustainable farming practices.

Stunning Views and Tranquil Atmosphere

The aesthetic appeal of Chateau Bianca Winery is a testament to their dedication to environmental stewardship. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere while savoring their wines. The winery's commitment to quality and sustainability ensures a memorable experience for all who visit.

A friend won a VIP wine tour and food pairing. I'm so glad I got to experience the delicious wine they have to offer. Katie did a great job explaining the various stages of wine production to us and was an excellent pairings host as well.

We came for a wine tasting over memorial day weekend with a fairly large group and had a wonderful time. Katie gave us a tour and did the wine tasting and was absolutely fantastic! After the tasting we played lawn games they provided on the patio area. It was wonderful! If you're not on your way to the beach though, prepare for a drive, because it's not close to much.

Wetzel Estate Winery: Where the Pinot Noir🍷flows as freely as the family gossip at Thanksgiving!😅 Sip their 2010 vintage, and you’ll experience a rollercoaster of tart cranberries and earthy notes, kind of like taking a scenic tour of Oregon🏕️ without leaving your couch 🛋️ Perfect for those who love their wine like their sense of humor: light, a bit thin, but always leaving you wanting more!👌

Great little winery with a good selection and generous tastings. Friendly and helpful staff. We stopped in for a tasting and joined on our first visit. Have had several pickups and have not been disappointed. Highly recommend stopping here on your way to the beach.
