Château Grand Callamand

A lovely place with beautiful scenery. Quiet, pretty and a wonderful welcome. Breakfast was also very good. The whole family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.

I just returned from Nathalie's vineyard and witnessed the grape harvest among the vines all over the mountains and plains. So I wanted to write the first Chinese review on the internet for GrandCallamand to commemorate the wonderful time we spent here. This wine tour was part of my honeymoon trip with Wing. Late one evening three months ago, I looked at the wineries near Marseille and carefully looked through their photos and reviews. Finally, I chose GrandCallamand. There is neither a fancy website, nor much advertising, nor a convenient online booking system. But I can see between the lines this quiet but exquisite manor, full of care and hard work of the owner. So we made a trustworthy booking by email. On September 27, we drove onto a country road in the bright sunshine of the South of France. Found the Grand Callamand estate in the small town of Perti. When he arrived here, Wing was amazed by this peaceful and romantic manor. She was amazed all afternoon. It has the simplicity of a French countryside, but is also clean and simple. The furniture, tableware and decorations are full of the owner's ingenuity, and she likes them all. This short trip to Grand Callamand winery, a honeymoon gift from me to her, left us very satisfied and happy. The owner, Nathalie, is hospitable, hardworking and attentive. She took us to her wine cellar, tasted her wines and introduced us to the aroma of each wine. We also talked about our respective families and our views on wine culture. We spent an incredible afternoon in this romantic and refreshing courtyard. We also enjoyed our breakfast this morning. Whether it's Nathalie's homemade jam or the omelets she cooks, everything here is so peaceful and tranquil that we don't want to leave. I hope that next time I come to France, I can come back here to see the mountains and fields, taste the fine wines here, enjoy the moonlight in the courtyard and have a pleasant conversation with the enthusiastic owners. ——Alan&Wing 28.9.2023

A little corner of paradise! We stayed for a weekend. We were able to enjoy the pool. The wine tasting was great (we kept 2 bottles ^^) The property is magnificent, very well maintained. And the owner is very, very nice!

The owners were really nice and pleasant people. We really enjoyed the time there. The scenery was beautiful. I recommend you to see the sunset and sunrise in the vineyard. Winery tour was also good. The cellar and the story about the winery and chateau were impressive. Definitely worth to visit. Comfortable bed and atmosphere and fresh french breakfast were delightful. We spent a whole weekend at the castle for our daughter's wedding and I recommend this magnificent place... Everything went well with the owner of the place who is a charming person available and attentive to the bride and groom...:) the estate is vast and intimate at the same time and several choices for a wedding ceremony or other festivities are offered... Dream setting... successful wedding guaranteed... in this wine estate where the delicious wine will satisfy all taste buds! A big thank you to the owner for her availability and kindness.... TS

Beautiful location

A very pleasant stay in a very very large room for a small family. The breakfasts are very generous and provided with local products. A little stroll in the vineyards is more than pleasant in the evening in the cool. The host is really very kind and accommodating. I recommend this area if you want peace and quiet and to stroll as a couple or family for a few days.

Just like in the movies! That's exactly what the perfect vacation is like: a large, airy, simple, beautiful and stylishly furnished room - more like a suite for a very good quality of sleep. Large bathroom with natural light (we had the "les Mariés" room) in the old walls of this beautiful winery, surrounded by vineyards in a beautiful, well-kept garden and trees. A private large balcony, a beautiful pool, extensive breakfast, calm and unobtrusive, warm service, peace, beautiful walks in the vineyard and centrally located for excursions in the surrounding area - if we could even tear ourselves away from the wonderful idleness... In the large kitchen, which is accessible to everyone, we were able to prepare the fine food from the markets in the area, store it in the refrigerator and enjoy it on the large gravel terrace in style like lords of the castle until the moon rises... or disappears again... Since there are only 3 guest rooms and the property is large, there is no stress about space or noise. Anyone who wants a private tasting of the Domaine's fine wines can get one - with a lot of commitment - and without being pressured into buying. But - there is no reason not to buy wine: there is nothing nicer than enjoying a good wine directly on the estate, in Provence, under plane trees, with the cicadas and crickets singing, without waiters, parking problems, disturbing music, noisy guests or curfew. The Domaine is also set up for weddings, I imagine this place to be a wonderful setting for such a celebration. We will be back!
