Wine and Automobiles at Château Jean Voisin
Wine and automobiles both appeal to our emotions and evoke a sense of nostalgia. Winemakers at the Château Jean Voisin combine their passion for both wine and the automobile. The Chassagnoux Family first started winemaking in this region. Château Jean Voisin boasts deep roots in the prosperous history of Bordeaux, especially of Saint Emilion. It is the region where the Romans planted the first wines back in the IVth century.
Sustainbale Production with the Introduction of New Technology
The vineyard occupies around fifteen hectares on the plateau of Saint-Emilion. This exceptional terroir features blue clay on the whole territory. Merlot is the major grape variety that creates a great fruity flavour and silky tannins to the wine. Cabernet Franc brings elegance and complexity to the wines. Château Jean Voisin uses high-tech tools for their winemaking process. However, they’re passionate about the environment care as well as their winemaking traditions abandoning use of all weed killers or pesticides for their wine production.
The Symbol of Victory
Jean Voysin, a prominent resident of Saint-Émilion, and Gabriel Voisin come from two different families. At first, you may think that nothing unites both these personalities. But, despite their different origins, both pioneers of the wine industry shared a passion. It’s the passion for the land, for mechanics and trade, and of course wine. Château Jean Voisin employs a ‘V’ on their wine labels to represent constant Victory in winemaking and autos. You can see their victory of perfection in their wines and their new style of labels. The winery is also gradually developing wine tourism in the area. They accept guests on guided tours and facilitate wine tasting in their cellars and vineyards.
