Corisca Winery, Classic Rias Baixas Winemaking in a Charming Thermal Valley

Corsica Winery is located on the banks of the Minho River between Salceda de Selas, in a thermal hot spring valley. The winery is located in a truly unique environment, surrounded by native forests and charming World Heritage villas. Corsica Winery was established in 2009, and the family that built it wanted to reflect in its history, tradition, and passion for winemaking. The owner’s father planted Albarino vines around forty years ago in Rias Baixas D.O., and currently, the second generation of the family runs the business.

Corsica Winery is pioneer of organic farming in the region. Their terroir gives an exclusive crisp taste to their wines.

Winery with Perfect Atlantic Climate for Vine Cultivation

The winery’s vineyard is located in the Minho River valley, surrounded by forests and mountains. Finca Muino is a two-hectare plot while the Finca Malladoura is a three-hectare plot with fifteen-year-old vines. The granite soils and an Atlantic climate and constant temperature give the region perfect conditions for cultivating vines.

Organic Methods for Ideal Albarino Wines

Only organic methods are used at Corsica Winery to protect the health of their vines and the surrounding environment. Their traditional organic Albarino grapes are used to produce high-quality white wines among the world’s best. All the wines are made from homegrown grapes, and they produce around 10 thousand bottles every year. After manually harvesting the grapes, fermentation is done in stainless steel tanks under regulated temperature that gives the wine subtle fruit flavors and alluring aromas.”
