Di Giovanna is a historic winery located in the heart of Sicily, known for its commitment to producing certified organic wines. Established by the Di Giovanna family, this fifth-generation estate spans nearly 100 hectares, with 65 dedicated to vineyards. The winery has been certified organic by Suolo e Salute SRL since 1997. Brothers Gunther and Klaus manage the estate, which is nestled in the scenic hills of Monte Genuardo, a protected nature reserve.
The winery's five vineyards are situated in the renowned DOCs of Sambuca di Sicilia and Contessa Entellina. The Paradiso, Miccina, and Gerbino vineyards thrive in clay-calcareous soil, while Fiuminello and San Giacomo surround the cellar in Sambuca di Sicilia. All vineyard activities, from pruning to harvesting, are performed manually using organic methods, ensuring environmental sustainability and the health of the vines.
Di Giovanna cultivates a variety of grapes, including Nero d’Avola, Zibibbo, Chardonnay, Grillo, and Nerello Mascalese. The winery handpicks the finest grapes to produce a range of red, white, and rosé wines. With each vintage, they strive to enhance the quality of their offerings. In addition to wine, Di Giovanna also produces high-quality extra virgin olive oil, both of which reflect the unique terroir and exceptional winemaking traditions of Sicily. Visitors can enjoy a warm Sicilian welcome and a taste of the family’s rich heritage.

High end quality wine, beautiful location and view, and the service is outstanding. The attention to details has been a beautiful surprise, furthermore the food provided was delicious. It is impossible to leave from the tasting without purchasing few bottles as well as their olive oil! For those who will be traveling in Sicily, it is definitely a must to visit Di Giovanna Winery.

The visit to the “Di Giovanna” winery in Sambuca di Sicilia was a truly memorable experience. Immersed in the peaceful Sicilian hills, the winery offers an atmosphere of tranquility and a sense of exclusivity that make the experience unique. We had the opportunity to meet Klaus, one of the owners, who passionately told us his story and that of the winery, sharing anecdotes about winemaking and the care for quality and the environment that characterizes his work. Thanks to the tranquility of the place, far from mass tourism, we were able to fully appreciate the tasting of excellent wines in a serene and evocative environment. We highly recommend a visit to the “Di Giovanna” winery to anyone who wants to discover authentic wines and live an intimate and personalized experience in the splendid Sicilian countryside.
