Distilleria Bosso: An ancient distillery in Neive
The ancient Bosso distillery is located on the hills of Neive in the famous region of Piemonte. The distillery has been making distillates from the pomace of Piemonte and capturing the intense aromas and qualities of the famous Langhe grapes. Pierluigi Bosso has worked hard to improve the historic distillery following the secrets and artisanal phases required to turn the grapes into grappa. There is a careful selection of raw materials and a mysterious alchemical process that goes into their products.
Recipe passed from one generation to the next
For more than 130 years, the distillery is in business and is currently run by the fifth generation of the family. The Grappa and Italian Brandy reflect the qualities of the region. The members of the family have passed on the recipes of their liqueur and vermouth from father to son for a long time. The handcrafted products are made with a lot of passion and love and make use of ancient recipes and authentic raw materials found in the region. Malvasia, Moscato, Cortese, Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, etc. are used to make their Amaro, Grappa, and Vermouth.
Top techniques for production
Their range of products covers all the needs of their customers. All products from the youngest to the strongest grappas are aged in wooden barrels for many years to reach the needed aroma, taste, and quality. The grappas are generally single-variety and produced with techniques that enhance the qualities of the grapes. The discontinuous steam method used by them allows the extraction of hidden aromas.
