Domaine Chamfort and the Beautiful Rhône Valley
Domaine Chamfort is located in the south of the Rhône Valley and was established in 1990, when Vasco Perdigao decided to take over and run the estate. He worked in the cellars at Domaine Chamfort for years, learning how to make the best quality wines. The estate is located in a beautiful location in the Rhône Valley and covers an area of 27 hectares in various appellations. Their primary appellations include Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Côtes du Rhône Village Seguret, Côtes du Rhône Village Sablet, and IGP. Domaine Chamfort’s primary method of vineyard work is organic using only organic fertilizers to protect the vines and the environment for future generations.
The Terroir of Domaine Chamfort
Deep and well-drained soil is perfect to yield the best quality of grapes in the region. The Rasteau terroir benefits from the best climate conditions, that is sunny during the day and cold at night. The Seguret vines are nearly fifty years old and have a rich soil that consists of the large limestone scree and quartz.
