The Domaine de la Croix Blanche sits at the heart of the Rhone Valley in the southern gate of the Gorges de l’Ardèche. Boasting a long family tradition, the estate covers 29 hectares of vineyards grown in Organic Farming
In 1989, Daniel Archambault took over the Domaine De La Croix Blanche estate after the retirement of his parents. Using his technical know-how, Daniel modernized the winery. Today, Daniel and his wife Rose Marie plants improve and experiments in the vineyard.
Daniel replaced old vats dating from 1870 by modern vats. In 2005, vat’s thermoregulation refined the work on the wines. In 2008, they installed stainless steel tanks for the vinification of rosés and whites. Thus, each wine at the estate is a perfect combination of choices from the vine to the cellar.
In 2011, the estate shifted from sustainable agriculture to organic farming. The same year, their son Guillaume, joined the vineyard to perpetuate their wine-making tradition. In 2013, the entire estate converted to being organic.
The grape variety consists of the traditional grape varieties. They use grapes, including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Merlot, Cinsault, and Grenache Blanc. They also use Clairette, Roussanne, Viognier, Marsanne. The winery to produce an extensive range of wines in AOP Côtes du Rhône, Côtes Rhône Village, and IGP Ardèche.
