Incredible experience! We did the blending activity and it was the best decision: not only do you get to know the winery and its vineyards, but you are also part of the wine world and create your own wine. The treatment by Lucía and Marcelo was the best, apart from the fact that there were only two of us in the activity, they never made us feel worse than other groups. If you want to escape from traditional tastings, this is really your choice!

We book a blending session. It consists of a visit to the vineyards and the winery where you taste 3 Sophenia wines without knowing which ones they are (you have to guess) and then you have to create your own blend from those 3. Even your label and your name. Beautiful experience, especially thanks to the attention of Lucía and Marcelo, two geniuses who made us learn and laugh at the same time, making the experience the best. 100% recommended.

Excellent attention!! What a good winery, it is highly recommended to visit it! Really the attention of Lucy and Marce, geniuses. The tour of the vineyard and then into the winery is great. Not to mention the wines! The warmth of the attention and the experience itself are VERY GOOD!

Marcelo was the most excellent wine host!!!! Apparently there were some folks ahead of us buying wine (!) so Marcelo brought us wine to start! Then we got the talk about the winery, the soil, the climate, etc. We then got to the tasting!! MARCELO IS A VERY FUNNY AND PERSONABLE HOST! We got to the tasting and we were treated to the reserve wines and OMG!!! Such a wonderful experience for the palate! I highly recommend this winery for a visit! One of the best in the Lujan de Cato area!,,,,

FANTASTIC!!! I will start with...if you are visiting Mendoza, you absolutely must, I repeat, you must visit Sophenia!!!! What a fantastic winery! The views, the wine, the cellar...the views, the wine, the cellar, the tasting room and Marcelo and Lucy! We spent our 25th anniversary visiting Sophenia and we had a spectacular time. Marcelo's knowledge of the vineyards and the wines being produced in the vineyard was spectacular. The tour was so nice. On top of that, he and Lucy treated us to a wonderful time in the tasting room. The entire experience was more than I could have hoped for while celebrating our 25th. I had planned to ask Michele to marry me again with an eternity ring while in Mendoza and realized that the place to do it was at Sophenia. Marcelo and Lucy, the atmosphere, the music and the wine made it the perfect venue. Tears were shed...mostly by me :-). Marcelo was a fantastic host and his graciousness made Sophenia THE winery of our visit to Mendoza. I am looking forward to our next visit to Mendoza and hope that we have the opportunity to spend time with Marcelo again when we visit Sophenia! I only wish there was more time to spend there and enjoy the wine and the atmosphere. It was so, so nice.

We had a great experience on the winery tour and tasting. Beautiful scenery and the guide, Lucia, was the best we had the pleasure of meeting on tours in Mendoza! Very different wines, we loved them!

If there's a place to feel at home, you've found it! A small winery, but with spectacular service. Lu and Marcel welcomed us with wines, explained the whole production process, and we left drinking wine. I highly recommend it.

Incredible experience under the care of Marcelo who presented the wines in a light, clear and super friendly way. We were all delighted with the presentation, wines and knowledge. It was truly a great pleasure!

This winery is beautiful and located right at the beginning of this region of the Uco Valley. Our guide was very talkative and informal. He made us feel very comfortable during a tasting experience while we visited the winery. Sophenia is a winery that recently became organic and is medium to small in size. They switched an entire vine to Cabernet Franc using grafting, saving 5 years of development if they were to plant everything from scratch; the first harvest after grafting is discarded. We also tasted some wines straight from the tank that were part of the additional package of the visit: make your own blend. We tasted from the tank a Cabernet Sauvignon without oak, a Merlot with little oak and a Malbec with a lot of oak. When it was time to experiment, accompanied by more tastings that were served to us, the group was divided into teams and the fun of trying out blends began. At the end, the guide called his colleague to do a blind evaluation of each one's best blend. There was a special prize involved. The whole experience was very fun and unforgettable.

Tasty wine and an impressive facility in the Mendoza area. A little intimidation at first with its military-like facade, but they are the friendliest of people when you get inside! The winery itself is massive, but the processing plant is smaller than it appears even though they produce their own wine from start to finish. Highly suggest paying a visit on your vacation, but as a heads up - there is no food served so make it your first or last winery of the day.
