The Georga Family Winery is a small, family-owned organic winery located in the Spata territory of the wine region Mesogaia in Attica. Georga Winery owns vineyards extending over an area of 4.5 hectares from where the winery crafts its flagship white wines, natural Retsina and Savatiano. Surrounded by pine trees and olive groves, the vines enjoy the microclimate and arid soils to produce the highest quality organic Retsina wines.

Fourth Generation Invovled in the Winemaking

Georga Family Winery has been cultivating wines for over a century. The fourth generation of this winemaking family is currently involved in the management of the estate. The owner uses traditional methods, certified organic and biodynamic, both in the viticulture and wine production. Each wine, therefore, expresses the reflection of the soil and biodiversity in which it is grown.

Cultivating 10-50 Years-Old Vines in Stunning Attica

The vineyard sites of Georga Family Winery, enclosed by eight charming villages, grow a vast range of grapevines ranging from 10-50 years old. Their focus is on the cultivation of Αssyrtiko, Savatiano, Malagouzia, and Mandilari, Merlot and Syrah. From planting to ripening, and finally, to harvesting, the owner carries out all the steps with complete respect for nature and biodiversity. The selectively handpicked grapes are moved to the cellar for soft pressing, followed by natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

In combination with red, orange, white, rosé, and sparkling PetNat wines, the estate also produces other unique vine products like grape juice, soda and cookies.
