Located in the picturesque Spata region of Mesogaia, Attica, Georgas Family Winery is a charming, family-owned organic winery. Spanning 4.5 hectares, the winery produces exceptional white wines, including their signature natural Retsina and Savatiano. Nestled among olive groves and pine trees, the vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate and arid soils, resulting in high-quality organic Retsina wines.

The Georgas Family Winery is currently managed by the fourth generation of winemakers, who uphold traditional practices alongside certified organic and biodynamic methods. This commitment ensures that each wine captures the essence of the soil and the biodiversity of the region.
The vineyards of Georgas Family Winery are surrounded by eight charming villages and feature grapevines aged between 10 to 50 years. The winery focuses on cultivating a variety of grapes, including Assyrtiko, Savatiano, Malagouzia, Mandilaria, Merlot, and Syrah. Every step of the winemaking process, from planting to harvesting, is conducted with respect for nature. The handpicked grapes undergo soft pressing and natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
In addition to their red, orange, white, rosé, and sparkling PetNat, plus a variety of Retsina wines, the estate also produces unique products such as grape juice,grape soda, and grape cookies. Visitors are welcome to stroll through the vineyards, enjoy homemade appetizers under the shade of pine trees, and learn about the winemaking process that adheres to the Attica PGI standards.

We had some difficulties with wine tourism agency about booking, but once we finally agreed with Dimitris to meet at their wine yard we really enjoyed his company and his wine. Me and my friends were thrilled to meet him and taste amazing wine his family produces and also listen to stories and background of production. We will definitely come back next time we visit Athens. Thank you Dimitris

We had a great time at Georgas winery - I would rate it 10/10 in terms of the tour/tasting. It was very personal and we had a very warm welcome there. We were able to taste some of the wines in the vineyard itself which was lovely, and then went to the winery and were able to taste wines at various stages of the fermentation process. It was easy to book the visit with you, and you were very helpful in the run up to the visit - especially when we turned up in the wrong place! So I can’t fault the service from Winetourism.com.
