Located in the stunning Alazani Valley, the Gevelli vineyards span 60 hectares of prime land for vine cultivation. Situated in the esteemed Tsinandali microzone appellation, the vineyards rest on land called “Lionidzis Zvari,” named after Solomon Lionidze, an 18th-century chancellor. The Gevelli team lives and is passionate about its work. Thanks to Maka, who gave us a tour, explained the intricacies of the winemaking process, and then invited us to a tasting. It was educational and interesting, like a good lesson, but fun and relaxed, like going for a walk. The tasting terrace offers stunning views. The wines are excellent, there are several types that are made in qvevri. Keep it up Gevelli, you have chosen the right vector! I wish you development and prosperity, and in a year we will be back again.
