The winemaking team at Shumi is dedicated to blending quality with innovation, making it the first winery in Georgia to adopt biodynamic and green harvesting methods, as well as to produce certified organic wines.
Shumi's wines have garnered over 270 prestigious international awards and are exported to more than 27 countries worldwide.
Shumi Winery produces a diverse range of wines, classified as Tsinandali, Napareuli, Mukuzani, Khvanchkara, Kinzmarauli, and Akhasheni. The vineyards are home to several grape varietals, including Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Kakhuri Mtsvane, Khikhvi, Aleksandrouli, and Mujuretuli. This selection allows for an impressive array of red, white, rosé, sparkling, dessert, and fortified wines that appeal to all wine enthusiasts.

A beautiful and atmospheric place. The tour is short, about 30 minutes, and costs 10 GEL (without tasting, paid separately). I didn't like the winery restaurant: I ordered a kebab, the meat wasn't marinated and was barely chewy. Although the people at the neighboring tables said they liked everything and that everything was delicious.

A very cool place! Beautiful vineyards, a delicious restaurant and a very hospitable manager Beka (greetings from St. Petersburg). He became for us a kind of guide of this wonderful place. Thanks to him, we tasted a number of delicious wines, learned the history of their creation and almost attended a festival in the middle of the vineyards! Cool place. Especially at the time of RTVELI. I definitely recommend it. - elegantly decorated areas for photos, textured straw hats - beautiful and touching.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Shumi! From the moment we entered the wine museum, we were immersed in the rich history and culture of winemaking. The wine tasting was a true highlight, with a wonderful selection of wines that showcased the unique flavors of the region. Strolling through the vineyard was a peaceful and beautiful experience, and we loved learning about the different grape varieties. One of the most memorable parts was the opportunity to cook traditional national dishes. It was such a hands-on way to experience the local culture, and the warm hospitality made us feel like part of the family. The entire experience at Shumi was a perfect blend of history, culture, and culinary delight, all wrapped up in the national spirit. We can't wait to come back!
