Located in the picturesque Great Southern region of Australia, Gilbert Wines is a family-owned boutique winery renowned for its exceptional Riesling and Shiraz. A Legacy of Winemaking Since 1985

Founded in 1985 by the Gilbert family, this winery is now operated by the third and fourth generations. Jim and Bev Gilbert, the current owners, constructed the cellar in 1990, which was renovated in 2003 to include a modern tasting room and a versatile café. Over the years, the winery has refined its production processes, ensuring the highest quality in red, white, and rosé wines.

Quality Grapes, Handpicked for Excellence

Spanning 24 acres in Mt Barker, the vineyards are tended by Jim, Bev, and their sons, Clinton and Matthew. They cultivate high-quality Riesling, Chardonnay, and Shiraz, along with some Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are handpicked to ensure quality and are then transported to the cellar for gentle pressing and cold fermentation. The estate's café, set against a backdrop of beautiful countryside, features a culinary garden where visitors can enjoy fresh figs, plums, and peaches, perfectly paired with estate wines in a serene setting.
