Gordia Winery is nestled in the picturesque Slovenska Istra region of Slovenia, specifically above Ankaran. The name "Gordia" reflects the area's rich heritage. With thousands of years of winemaking tradition, unique indigenous grape varieties, and nutrient-rich soil, our wines offer a distinct taste and freshness. Situated at 80 meters above sea level, the vineyard benefits from ample southern sunlight, making it ideal for cultivating Refošk grapes.

Spanning approximately 3.5 hectares, our vineyards are cultivated using organic farming practices. We produce orange wines with minimal intervention, relying solely on sulfur and native yeasts for fermentation. Our portfolio includes longer macerated white wines and a selection of red wines, featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, Refošk, Merlot, and Syrah.
Since 2011, Gordia has participated in an ecological winemaking control program. Our culinary offerings highlight local and seasonal ingredients, including cured meats, dairy products, and fresh vegetables, complemented by homemade bread, pasta, and desserts. In our wine cellar, you will find a welcoming atmosphere where every detail enhances your experience of our vintage wines.

Write a reviewDuring a walk we made a short stop at this place with a beautiful view. Tastings are only offered here by appointment. The nice winemaker stopped her work, however, so we were able to pack her entire wine repertoire into our backpack for our own private tasting. One thing was already clear that evening: these are highly recommended wines that offer a great taste experience. They are also absolutely digestible (I usually have problems with red wine from time to time, but there were none here)! The Amfora Orange wine is spectacular with its variety of flavors that develop over time and is recommended to try, and not just for orange wine lovers. Many thanks to the winemaking family!

Amazing place, wines and host! The wine tasting included two pet nats, two orange and a red, all of them very nice! Plus the view is amazing.

We bought here very good wine (Malvazija). The winemaker was very friendly and interrupted his work in the vineyard just to give us a personal wine tasting.

We did the 5-wine tasting, and it was great! 1 white, 2 orange, 1 sparkling and 1 red. The view is incredible and the hostess was very friendly and spoke English. We mountainbiked to the location, which was fun! Would definitely recommend!
