Established nearly a century ago by Lekso’s grandfather, this family-owned winery blends time-honored traditions with modern techniques to produce exceptional natural wines. Nestled between the majestic Caucasus mountains and the serene Alazani river valley, the winery benefits from a unique terroir that enhances the quality of its wines.

Ideal Conditions for Quality Grapes

The vineyards at Lekso’s Marani are situated in prime locations, boasting fertile soil and a favorable microclimate for grape cultivation. The winery employs organic farming methods to ensure the highest quality grapes. Key grape varieties include Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Kisi, Maghranuli, Jananura, and Saperavi. Each grape is handpicked and carefully processed to create a diverse range of red, white, and rosé wines.

Signature Wines and Awards

Among the standout offerings are Mtsvane, Saperavi, and a selection of 16 unique wines, all fermented and aged in traditional qvevris. Notably, Vepkhvo’s Chacha, crafted by Lekso’s father, won a gold medal at the Telavi Chacha Festival, showcasing its distinctive flavor profile. Lekso’s Muscat Chacha is also gaining attention in international markets, with availability in countries like the USA, Germany, Poland, and Austria.
