Experience 150-Year-Old Lemon Trees in Sicily
Limonio Estate: A Slice of Sicilian Countryside
With a rich history spanning over a century, Limonio Estate is currently managed by the fourth generation of the Russo family. Giusy, Rita, Valeria, and Vincenzo oversee the estate with passion and commitment. Spanning 50 hectares in the picturesque countryside of Partinico, Sicily, Limonio is a testament to family tradition and agricultural excellence.
From Lime Factory to Limoncello
The legacy of Limonio began with great-grandfather Francesco, who sold fresh citrus fruits in Sicily. His son, Vincenzo, modernized the business by introducing advanced techniques for harvesting citrus blossoms and extracting oils for various industries, including cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Although production ceased in 1980 due to geopolitical changes, the Russo family revived the business in 1990, continuing the family’s dedication to quality.
Unique Sicilian Liqueurs and Olive Oil
Limonio offers a diverse range of ten liqueurs crafted from the finest lemons, oranges, mandarins, mulberries, prickly pears, and laurel sourced from the Palermo region. The estate practices organic farming, ensuring high-quality produce. Additionally, Limonio cultivates mono varietal Cerasuola olives on six hectares, producing exceptional olive oil. Limonio's products, including their renowned Digéstif Amaro, are distributed in approximately 26 countries, with significant markets in the USA, Japan, and Russia. Experience the unique flavors and aromas of Limonio, a true representation of Sicilian heritage.
