Nockie’s Palette Wines was born from Michael Nock’s passion for both wine and art. The winery believes that the true value in creating exceptional wines lies in the hands of skilled artisans. To achieve this, Nockie’s Palette collaborates with some of the world’s finest winemakers, showcasing a diverse range of grape varieties.

Vision of the Winery

Much like an artist’s palette filled with colors, Nockie’s Palette offers a selection of handcrafted wines that highlight unique flavors, textures, and the distinct terroir of the region. Our wines reflect the best of Central Otago, featuring award-winning Pinot Noir, alongside exquisite Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay and Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Nockie’s Palette is proud to support the NockArt Foundation, which funds artist residency programs throughout the area. To celebrate the connection between art and winemaking, we feature original artworks on our wine labels, adding a creative touch to each bottle.

We visited in December and had a wonderful, very personable wine tasting with our host! They have a cute doggy who'll follow you around too 🥰 I loved all the wines we tasted, and we ordered a 9 bottle case to ship home. I thought the wine prices and shipping cost were very reasonable. The gardens surrounding the home are gorgeous!

We had a tasting today. The owner was there when we came and he was very warm! The tasting was fabulous, the explanation of the winery, the wines are incredible and the place is truly exceptional. There are different types of tasting which are at very reasonable prices. We can only recommend this place 100% We hope to see you again in Bordeaux (France) Vicky and Thomas

We really enjoy the classic wine tasting session with Beatrice, she's very knowledgeable about wine, and managed to explain very clearly and concisely. We had a great time talking about wines and life, and she managed to throw in some restaurant recommendations which shows her hospitality. The wines are very nice from rose to white and red. The cellar is very beautiful. Highly recommended.

This place was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The gardens and scenery are stunning and Beatrice the young lady who works at the cellar door was truly delightful, so knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming 👌 the gold winning rose was on point, a stunning find just before you turn off to Arrowtown❤️

The Nockies Palette & Stoneridge Cellar Door is an absolute must-visit! We had an incredible time during our wine tasting experience, and it truly became one of the highlights of our trip. Rachel, our host, was nothing short of amazing—accommodating, interactive, and hilariously funny. Her deep knowledge of the wines added so much to the experience, and she made our final winery stop both fun and unforgettable. The wines themselves were exquisite, with each note uniquely distinctive yet consistently exceptional. It’s a delight to discover such thoughtfully crafted flavors. And let’s not forget their stunning garden—it’s phenomenally gorgeous and adds an extra layer of charm to the visit. I bought wine after Wine & Painting and Premium Tasting. It was a pity that it rained, but the winery and surrounding scenery were so beautiful and the painting experience there was also very romantic. Rachel, who hosted us, was professional and very friendly. Since it is close to the bus stop, I recommend it especially for travelers who are on foot.
