A Family-Owned Legacy

Montara Winery is proudly owned by the Stapleton family, who took over the vineyard in 2006. With a strong background in Australian export and agribusiness, they selected this property for its stunning landscape and ideal conditions for producing high-quality wines.

Vineyards with Character

The vineyards at Montara sit at an elevation of 312 to 360 meters above sea level, which helps prevent frost and supports healthy vine growth. Spanning 20 hectares, the estate is home to a variety of grape types, including Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and Riesling, all sourced from vines that are over 40 years old. Best place to visit with family and friends, a quiet environment with all the facilities. The staff is very friendly, helps you in your activities and camping. Gives you proper guidance to make your trip enjoyable.

Love this place. We went to have a tasting, not to stay. It has great wine, bands, view, service and pizza too. Simple but great.

The people who run it were so nice and helpful. 11 friends and I went down for the long weekend, and it was great. Jimmy and his brother Matt were very nice and friendly. They had live music on the Friday and we had a brilliant evening. Toilet situation is rough as there was only one porta loo. But that is a part of camping. cheap and fun, would highly recommend. Wine was great too.

This is a beautiful little winery with great views, great wines and fantastic service. The wood fired pizzas were delicious and I particularly loved the Pinot Noir. The decked out bus/bar is a fantastic idea and the kids were entertained with the lawn games. We really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend if you are in the area. Thanks for having us.
