The Ocean Eight Winery is located alongside the beautiful seaside town of Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. The winery treats guests with an exclusive tasting in their new underground cellarfor a complete immersive wine experience. Ocean Eight organizes many traditional and commercial events during the year, and visitors from all over the world are welcome to take part.

In pursuit of becoming the perfect winemaker, Mike toured many vineyards and cellars in France to learn their winemaking methods. Ocean Eight Winery was established about ten years back by the Aylward Family and has now become a renowned winery in Australia. Michael Aylward, the current owner, previously worked in the family’s older estate, Kooyong until he, along with his wife, Hollie, started their own dream winery. In pursuit of becoming the perfect winemaker, Mike toured many vineyards and cellars throughout France to learn traditional as well as new state-of-the-art techniques. Today, the Aylward Family exports their wines worldwide with immense passion.

The vineyards of Ocean Eight stretch over an area of 17 hectares. Surrounded by ocean breezes, fertile soils, and lush topography, the family-owned land is the home of Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Their flagship wines include luscious red and crisp white wines. These wines are produced in one of the most sought-after regions of Australia and thus express the essence of the ideal terroir they are grown in.

A Modernized Wine Cellar, with an Incredible Degustation Room and Views of the Barrel Room

Over the years, the winery underwent many advancements and so has the aging cellar. Today, Ocean Eight is considered a modern wine cellar containing a small, degustation room dedicated to tasting activities, situated above the barrel room.
