Experience Exceptional Muscats and Topaques at Pfeiffer Wines
A Legacy of Winemaking
Pfeiffer Wines is a family-owned winery located in the historic Rutherglen region of Victoria, Australia, boasting a winemaking legacy that spans over 150 years. Nestled beside the Murray River, the winery features the century-old Sunday Creek bridge and a charming historic wine cellar. Renowned for its handcrafted premium wines, Pfeiffer Wines specializes in full-bodied reds and crisp whites, as well as the celebrated fortified wines, Topaques, and Muscats, which showcase the essence of Australian wine culture on a global scale.
Modern Techniques Meet Tradition
Founded in 1895, Pfeiffer Wines has remained at its original site, evolving through the years. After changing hands several times, the winery was acquired by Robyn and Chris Pfeiffer in 1984. They revitalized the estate by incorporating modern technology and equipment essential for quality winemaking. This includes the installation of stainless steel tanks and new oak barrels, ensuring optimal production and aging of their wines.
Exceptional Terroir
The vineyards at Pfeiffer Wines span 70 acres, featuring a mix of timber and grazing land at an elevation of 125 meters above sea level. The unique climate and terroir create ideal conditions for grape cultivation. The estate includes two vineyards: Carlyle and Sunday Creek, where a variety of grapes are grown, including Chardonnay, Gamay, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Shiraz, Muscat, Tinta Cao, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Only the finest grapes are selected for their acclaimed red, white, rosé, and fortified wines.
