Poderi Morini: A Gem in the Hills of Romagna
Located in Oriolo dei Fichi, above Faenza, Poderi Morini Winery is nestled among the stunning hills of Romagna, an area rich in winemaking tradition. The winery's vineyards stretch across 40 hectares, surrounding the historic Oriole Tower. The breathtaking landscape captivates all who visit, making it a perfect destination for wine lovers and travelers alike.
From Farm to Winery: A Family Legacy
Founded in 1998 by Natale Morini, Poderi Morini began as a poultry and agriculture farm. When his son, Alessandro Morini, took over, he shifted the focus to producing high-quality grapes alongside his wife, Daniela. Today, they are dedicated to crafting exceptional red, white, dessert, and sparkling wines that reflect the unique terroirs of the Romagna DOC regions.
Quality Grapes Through Manual Harvesting
The vineyards benefit from a favorable microclimate, influenced by the Adriatic breeze and the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. Alessandro cultivates a diverse range of grapes, including Sangiovese, Albana, Centesimino, Longanesi, and Pignoletto. During harvest, the team carefully handpicks the finest grape bunches, transporting them to the winery's cellar for fermentation. Poderi Morini’s cellar, located at the heart of the winery, features modern equipment and advanced technology. The underground facility maintains optimal conditions for aging wines in French, Austrian, and American oak barrels.
