Family-Owned Winery

Marco Zinzani represents the third generation of his family dedicated to winemaking. Growing up in the family business, he took over in 2017, blending modern techniques with traditional practices. The Zinzani family has been crafting quality wines since 1970, when Marco’s grandfather, Antonio, established the winery. Today, the entire family is involved in every step of the winemaking process, from grape cultivation to bottling, ensuring that each bottle reflects their rich heritage.

Winery on the Hills of Faenza

Located on the picturesque hills of Faenza, Zinzani Vini is a small, family-run winery that prides itself on producing wines exclusively from its own vineyards. The family handles all aspects of production, from vineyard care to vinification and bottling, using traditional methods and their own labor. Most of their wine is sold directly from the cellar, allowing customers to purchase both bulk and bottled wine, promoting a sustainable, local approach to wine sales.

Zinzani Vineyards

The 6-hectare vineyard is meticulously cultivated using the gujot training system, equipped with an efficient irrigation setup and steel poles for mechanization. The vineyard is divided into various plots, each dedicated to different grape varieties. Additionally, the winery grows fruit trees, which are utilized in their laboratory for crafting homemade jams, further showcasing their commitment to quality and local produce.

Great stopover for us on the way to the north of Italy. There was a nice spot in the vineyard with electricity for our motorhome. We had a little wine tasting. And of course we bought a few bottles too.

10/08/2024 I tried the "Bot" in Fontanelice, a barrel-aged cabernet: I liked it so much that I bought a bottle.

We had a wine tasting with sausage, cheese, and bread with olive oil. We first took a tour of the vineyards and then began with a wine tasting. It was a great experience with a pleasant atmosphere. Our wine supervisor, Marco, was personable, hospitable, and enjoyed talking about the wines. You can tell the whole experience was heartfelt. We even received a delicious dessert from Marco's mother at the end. It was all a super fun experience.
