Feudo Ramaddini – A Hub for Organic Wines

Located in the picturesque countryside of Pachino, Feudo Ramaddini Winery is nestled in the heart of the Noto wine region. The estate features a charming wine shop at Magazzini del Vino, an industrial site linked to the historic millstone of the Marquis of Rudin. In 2018, Feudo Ramaddini proudly received bio certification for its esteemed DOC Sicily, DOC Noto, and IGT labels, showcasing its commitment to organic winemaking.

A Winery Rooted in Tradition and Innovation

Founded in 2003 by passionate entrepreneurs Carlo Scollo and Francesco Ristuccia, Feudo Ramaddini began with 20 hectares of fertile land in Val di Noto. Inspired by the region's ancient Greek winemaking traditions, they cultivated native grape varieties. After five years of dedication, they launched their first Noto DOC label in 2008. In 2010, they expanded their operations by acquiring Ancient Wine Warehouses, which now serves as their headquarters. A fresh logo and label design were introduced in 2014, reflecting their evolving identity.

Rich Terroirs Between Marzamemi and Pachino

Respecting the natural environment, the vineyards flourish on the Noto Plateau, close to the Marzamemi Sea. Carlo revitalized centuries-old vineyards using traditional sapling methods alongside modern viticulture techniques. On their 20 hectares, they cultivate premium varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay, along with the flagship Nero d’Avola, Catarratto, Grillo, and Moscato Bianco. These grapes are the foundation for Ramaddini Winery's exquisite range of red, white, and rosé wines.

We had a great experience with Luisa, which was very nice and extremely knowledgeable on both the history of the cellar and the wines. The tasting of wines and local cold cuts and cheeses were delicious. We ended up buying a few bottles at the end of the experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.

Very good wines, good value for money and competent salesperson in the shop. We were even allowed to take a quick tour of the wine cellar.

Very nice wine cellar. We were served by a charming and professional young Venezuelan woman. Special mention for the Grillo Blanco. Excellent.

When passion becomes work. Professionalism in the management of the vineyard and the cellar, care and attention in every single phase, historical culture and innovation. Dr. Scollo, a true host, welcomes you by showing you the historical memory of the cellar and the technological innovations present. The result? A magical atmosphere (waiting on the panoramic terrace for tastings). Each wine tells a story, a journey, the perfect synthesis between grape variety, territory, farmer and cellar master. A unique experience every time!! See you soon.

My wife and I were privileged to do a tasting with Luisa as our guide on October 6, 2024. The wines were very well made and well balanced. We loved the way the winery does things the old fashioned way and takes the time and care to produce excellent wines of multiple varieties. Luisa took the time to explain the history of the vineyard, their approach to making wines and the family touch that is clearly evident. We really loved the Patrono of which we purchased a bottle of to take with us. We will definitely return for another visit the next time we're in the area. Incidentally, they are opening a new tasting room in just a few days, and it sounds like it will be very nice as well.

Immerse yourself in the story of Ramaddini. Guided tour through the old and new wine reserves and all production machines with bilingual narration by Corrado and Luisa. Great atmosphere, nice staff and experienced winemakers. Delicious wine served with local specialties. Firework in your mouth. Wines that perfectly capture the mood and flavors of southern Sicily.
