A Boutique Winery in Main Ridge

Ten Minutes By Tractor is a boutique winery located in Main Ridge, the highest and coolest subregion of Mornington Peninsula, Australia. The winery was started in the1997 with the merging of three vineyards of Judd, McCutcheon, and Wallis. The merging and collaboration was the only way to cut down the cost of operation in this high altitude so that resources can be shared. All their vineyards were 10 minutes away by tractor, hence, the winery name is found. In 1998, three families agreed to make some wine together with the help of a local contract winemaker and released it for sale in 2001. The wine immediately took off and was one of the highly rated wines that season.

Their wines are famous in the wine market and reflect the features of their quality vineyards and terroir.

Unique Character of Vineyards

All their vineyards have their own unique character with different aspects, slopes, soils, altitude, and cool ocean breezes which flow through the valleys from Bass Strait, Western Port, and Port Phillip. In 2003, Martin Spedding bought Ten Minutes by Tractor Wine Co. from the three families and since then they have opened a new cellar door, restaurant and added four new vineyards. The winery feels proud to grow the best grapes and making wines that express the character of their origin and continue to put them in front of people who appreciate the difference.
