Torre Fornello has a storied past, having been owned by several historic families over the years. In 1982, the Sgorbati Family took ownership, and today, Enrico Sgorbati continues his grandfather's legacy of winemaking. He has revitalized the family business and restored the old vineyards to produce exceptional wines. The winery also includes a parish church established in the 1600s, and an arch portal next to it offers a unique perspective of the entire estate. Additionally, the renovated 17th-century horse stable now hosts exhibitions and events, while the villa serves as a prestigious venue for accommodations and gatherings. Below the villa lies the ancient cellar, dating back to the 1600s.
At Torre Fornello, a diverse range of grape varieties is cultivated, including Malvasia Di Candia Aromatica, Pinot Noir, Bonarda, Barbera, and Ortrugo. The winery also grows distinctive Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon, and Marsanne. The Sgorbati family takes pride in producing high-quality red, white, and rosé wines, along with dessert and sparkling options. Wonderful visit to the cellar with friends led first by the talented Luca and then by the owner Enrico, who transmits all his passion and skills by telling the story, techniques and anecdotes of his wine and himself. Excellent wines, sometimes particular and outside the box but full of personality just like Enrico. Absolutely worth visiting.

We went to Torre Fornello for a guided tour of the cellar and a wine tasting. The owner, Enrico, not only makes the visit very captivating, but transmits all the passion and makes you want to know more and more about the world of wine. The visit ended with a tasting of local cured meats and 3 wines of our choice, as well as explanations of the pairings. In addition to having great knowledge of the industry, Enrico was also a great entertainer throughout the visit!

Splendid venue for receptions. If the weather smiles on you, the peace that comes from the view is a splendid companion. The church and complex are also ideal for weddings, like the one I had the opportunity to attend. The spaces are adequate for around a hundred people. To enjoy and savor.

Perfect place for fairytale weddings. The place also has a small church for wedding ceremonies, small but very characteristic. We had dinner on the lawn in front of the building, enjoying the view of the Piacenza hills and the vineyard. Torre Fornello is the perfect setting for a wedding.
